  • How Can I Get More Involved?

If you are interested in getting more involved with the PTA, please take a moment to fill out our volunteer interest form linked here , and we will be sure to connect you with the appropriate board member. Regardless of the level of formal involvement you may be interested in and/or able to take on, know that our doors are always open. We want to hear from you and know how we, as a PTA, can support you and your experience within our school community.

About the PTA

The Chisholm Elementary PTA is a non profit 501(c)(3) that aims to be a place to make friends, build community and support our scholars. Every parent, guardian, and teacher of a student attending Chisholm is automatically a member of the PTA. Our mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff at Chisholm, and to provide resources to support the school in offering outstanding opportunities for our students.

PTA Meetings

PTA general meetings are open to all. The more involved parents we have, the more we can do to support our students! The meetings are held in person every other month, typically on a Wednesday from  6-7 PM  in the school gym. The meetings are a forum for sharing information on important school issues, connecting with other parents at the school, and engaging in a productive dialogue on how best to serve the students.  PTA meetings are a great way to gather information and connect with the school. We hope to see you there! Dinner and childcare are provided.

As we head into a new school year with record school enrollment and the growing need for additional funding, the PTA has many creative fundraising events and opportunities planned. In addition, we always welcome one-time and recurring cash donations to help make sure no school program goes without. Our PTA and school leadership are committed to supporting our students, families, teachers and staff to the best of our ability year in and year out. Any size contribution is always appreciated. Below we've included a few examples of how your dollars will directly impact our school community.

  • Student Clubs: Spanish Film, Arts and Drama Club

  • Teacher stipends to support special projects, classroom needs and field trips

  • Teacher celebrations during back to school, teacher appreciation week and more

  • Upkeep and repairs to the school ground and playground

  • Maintaining the clothing/supply closet as needed

  • School-wide events like Fall Fest, Pancake Breakfast, The Arts Festival and School Dance all of which are free to attend
